what I DO
Rigging sits right at the intersection of creativity and technical thinking, and that’s where I do my best work. I take characters, creatures, and all sorts of animated assets and turn them into rigs that feel natural to animate. Whether the style leans realistic or stylized, the priority is always the same: clean deformation, intuitive controls, and systems that hold up even when animators really start pushing them.
My work spans different types of productions, from cinematic and animation-focused rigs to setups designed for real-time environments. Each project comes with its own constraints and style, so the rig needs to adapt, not the other way around. That means building flexible setups that behave predictably, remain stable throughout production, and make the animator’s job easier rather than more complicated.
In the end, a good rig shouldn’t get in the way. It should feel invisible when it works well, quietly doing its job while animation takes center stage. My role is to make sure everything under the hood supports that goal.

What My Clients Say
A few words from seom clients about their experience working together, reflecting the collaboration and trust behind each project
I had the pleasure working with Julen on a creature project. His rigging knowhow and professionalism were impressive, and the quality of his work was top-notch. He was able to incorporate every single feature you could think of, which made the rig very enjoyable for the animators to animate with. I look forward to working with him again in the near future!
